Nannies

We provide nannies on a live-in or part-time basis. All nanny applicants have verifiable local references and are approved by a senior member of Abbey Caregiver’s management who conducts interviews appraising appearance, attitude, education, job stability, language, manners and work background, before recommendation to our clients.. In addition all applicants have undergone background screening, CPR training and have been tested for TB. They also must have experience with children of the same age they apply to care of.

Our nannies are all members of TrustLine, created by the California Legislature to offer parents, employment agencies and others access to background checks conducted by the California Department of Social Services, which checks the Criminal History System and Child Abuse Central Index at the California Department of Justice and also checks FBI records.  The TrustLine Registry is maintained by CDSS and can be accessed by calling 800-822-8490 (the California Child care Resources and Referral Network).
